what is a good profit margin for ecommerce ? Profit Margin For eBay & Online Sales?
Transcribe of “Extra 10% Profit Margin For eBay & Online Sales – no GST for export sales”
Hi, it’s Neil Waterhouse. If you sell online, whether it be eBay, your own website, or whatever platform you’re using, you get almost, certainly get a percentage of sales that purchase, buy, are overseas buyers.
Now, these are classified by most governments as export sales, so if you live in a country like Australia, as I do, you can claim back the GST component of those sales, which then effectively gives you an extra 10% margin. Of course, towards your account and about your circumstance and how you sign up for GST, et cetera.
You can also claim back GST on your purchases.
You can also claim back GST on your purchases. So if you purchase locally, say, you’re a drop shipper, you can claim that back as well. If you import and you get charged GST, you can also claim that back as well. So obviously, towards your account. So that’s all for this week. Please scroll down and leave a comment below. Apologies for the shaky video. I’m just doing this, a selfie on my iPhone. Until next week, list more, sell more. This is Neil Waterhouse.
