– Hi guys, Neil Waterhouse. This week’s video is How to Make a $1000 a Week on eBay Dropshipping. If anybody new to this channel, my name’s Neil Waterhouse and I’ve been selling an eBay for 23 years, and I’m also the author of “Million Dollar eBay Business From Home”. So let’s launch straight into it. On last week’s video, I shared with you the monthly update of 10 products selling on eBay that are making over 50% profit, with one of the items making over 140% profit.
If you missed that video, I’ll put a link on the screen down below. Now, with any eBay business, the size of your business is simply how many proven items that you’ve got listed. The more proven items that you’ve got listed, the more you sell each week and the more profit you make. Let me show you. For the first example, I’ll use these kids ride on car from last week’s video. Dropship Zone are selling these ride on cars for $253 and they’re being resold on eBay for $541, that’s a gross profit of $288 before shipping and eBay fees.
Shipping for this item varies from $16 and you can also make your customers pay for the shipping. eBay fees vary, depending on whether or not you’ve got an eBay store, and if you have an eBay store, what level of store do you have: Basic, Featured, or Anchor? For this example, I’ll just use a an average eBay fee of 12%. So the total eBay fees for this ride on car is $64.92, which leaves a net profit of $223.08. So as a round number, let’s use $200 net profit after all selling costs.
So to make $1,000 profit per week, you need to sell five items like this per week. Let’s look at another item we found this morning. This is a tea chest, that is again being sold by DropshipZone for $64.20 with free shipping, and being sold eBay for $111. And this seller is also charging an extra $10 for shipping, even though the supplier gives free shipping. So the total sale price for this item is $121, that’s $111 for the item, plus $10 shipping, that leaves a net profit of $42.48 after eBay fees, or for round numbers, let’s call it $40 profit every time it sells.
So to make $1,000 per week dropshipping on eBay, you need to sell 25 items like this per week. And you don’t need to research or list all the items yourself, you can get low cost, overseas, virtual assistant from $1 per hour, who can list three to six items per day on eBay for you. I’m not going to go into outsourcing now, as I’ve done that in a previous week’s video, however, if you miss that video, I’ll put a link on the screen down below. So bottom line, the size of your business and your profits each week simply comes down to how many proven items you have listed.
